[Solved] How to get it to use equations?

OK. I figured it out while typing this, but going to post anyways in the event that someone else comes in looking for an answer.

I entered =SUM(C4*0.75) but it only displays the equation as if the calculations function is disabled. I tried asking both Ai and a Google search, with YouTube videos. I fixed it however by checking my cell's properties & realizing that I had started the document by setting everything to Text only. I returned the columns that require math to 'Default' and now the match works .
