Hi there team,
SMO doesn't support PROXY and it now seems you've removed user's ability to download the "Windows" service packs through HTTPS.
How can one deal with this behind a purely proxied connectivity? Is there another source you could provide?
Let me know,
Kind regards,
Mokaz
PS: yes, tried ProxyCap & Proxifier to no joy...

Re: SoftMaker Office 2024 Service pack behind PROXY
This is not "now". Direct service pack downloads for Windows have not been published for six years now because nearly everybody is happy with automatic updates.
However, the URLs are no secret:
NX:
https://shop.softmaker.com/update/servi ... 2_1210.exe
https://shop.softmaker.com/update/servi ... 4_1210.exe
2024:
https://shop.softmaker.com/update/servi ... 2_1210.exe
https://shop.softmaker.com/update/servi ... 4_1210.exe
You need to replace "1210" with the latest revision number.
Alternatively, you can always download the MSI from our website which is also always current.
Also, SoftMaker Office uses the "system" internet connection for download. Start Edge or Internet Explorer (and NOT ANY OTHER browser), open the internet options there and configure the connection.

Re: SoftMaker Office 2024 Service pack behind PROXY
Hi Martin,
Thanks a lot for your update. I'll check the links -- should work all fine.
I think the "proxy" issue is that your code seems to want to "resolve" your hosts, therefore not to rely on the proxy server to conduct the DNS queries, for which, direct DNS queries to the outside world might not be allowed if not conducted by a given proxy.
Let me know,
Kind regards.
