Image pastes at wrong angle

I am using version 3.0.7 win on a Windows 11 computer

I often need to paste images into my pdf files which are generated as snapshots using the Windows in-built Snipping Tool.

Often, I find that the images are pasted into the pdf document at a 90 degree angle to what it should be, meaning I need to use the Rotate tool to correct it.

The issue does not exist when I paste into other programs such as TextMaker, and also does not happen all the time.

I have an idea as to why this happens sometimes and not others.

If I insert a slide into a deck of Landscape slides, it defaults to a new Portrait slide.
After I amend that new slide to Landscape, every subsequent insert of a picture gets done at the wrong angle.

But, if I start off with a new document with a number of pre-created landscape slides I don't get the issue.
