Is it possible to make icons larger? It is very hard to make out the bottom row of icons. Other icons also could be increased.

Have you tried setting the option in the User Interface dialogue?

Sorry, just one more thing. When ticking in the Touch mode in user interface some of the menu items got messed up in the upper line:
