Pasting image files that don't appear visually

Hi, I noticed that if a presentation has a lot of image files (where pasted as DIB or bitmap) the image that is displayed in the slide is missing visually entirely or a different image is presented. However on the left side, I can see the image I pasted in the slide. This means that I must save the file and when I reopen the file the image I pasted is there. This is really strange.
