Edge outline in shadow text in presentation

I've created a presentation and have used the shadow effect for the text so that it will stand out against the background. I've noticed that the shadow is not completely black. Instead, the shadow actually has a orange or yellow outline. Is there a way to make the shadow completely black? The offset orange lines from the main text are very distracting.
