In make extensive use of footnotes and endnotes and I am used to the way these are formatted in Word.
In TextMaker 2021 I am finding that the Characater Style "Footnote Reference" is where to control how the numbering appears in the body of the text for BOTH Footnotes and Endnotes, as well as how the numbering appears in the Footnote and Endnote. Here's an illustration where you can see the numbering in the body of the text as well as in the Endnote and Footnote:
The curious thing is that by default there's a Character Style called "Endnote Reference" which has no effect on the appearance of the numbering for Endnotes (or Footnotes for that matter).
Is this the correct behaviour - that the Character Style "Footnote Reference" is where we control the appearance of BOTH Footnote and Endnote numbering?
And if that is true, then what is the function of the Character Style called "Endnote Reference" which appears to do nothing?
Or, have I inadvertently stumbled upon a bug in finding the above?
