License required?

Would someone please explain why the new install of this on a new laptop is barring me from using it without a license?

SoftMaker Office 2021 for Windows is a commercial product for which license is required which you can purchase from our online shop here.

In the download email it stated that I would need to put in the activation key when the program was started the first time, but it didn't ask for the key when I opened. What should I do?

If you are able to use the program without entering the license key please click on '?' (which is on the right-top corner) > Purchase and unlock... > It will open a dialog box where you can enter your license/product key > Click OK and your product will be activated.
