Keeping AutoSum when cut and paste into next cellht cell

Post by julianding »

Tried to cut and paste the Autosum to the next cell but it would not retain the original cell values.
For example if the Autosum is of cells C1 to C5, and the autosum total is in cell C7, if you cut and paste cell C7 to D7, the new cell (D7) does not show the sum total of cells C1 to C5, it shows sum total for cells D1 to D5 instead.

It would be nice if the can be a distinction of results when using the "cut and paste" function as it takes over all the information from the original cell, but when using "copy and paste" function, new values are to be inserted. Right now the function of cut & paste and copy & paste have the same effect. I hope this can be a functional update to PlanMaker 2021.

Thanks for your suggestion. I have forwarded this request to our development team.

Meanwhile, in such requirements, instead of cut/paste of cell/range, please use the drag-drop feature of PlanMaker:
a) When you have several cells selected you can click into the selection and drag it.
b) When you have only a single cell without selection color then click into the cell and hold the mouse button. After half a second the drag cursor is shown.

When you will drag-drop cell it will retain the references as required.
