How do I change unit of measurement to centimetres on the ruler?
How do I change unit of measurement to centimetres on the ruler?
I would like a ruler with centimetres rather than inches as unit of measurement. How do I change all measurement settings to centimetres?
Softmaker 2016 & 2018.

To change the measurement unit in Softmaker, you have to go to your Windows settings. I managed to find the settings for "metric" units (like centimeters) under "Additional Settings". But where are these "Additional Settings"? I could not find these settings again, the second time I looked.

In TextMaker to change Ruler settings between inch and cm, you have to change the settings from Windows operating system as TextMaker pickup these settings from windows directly.
To change these settings in Windows please follow these steps:
Windows 10:
- Start Control Panel
- Select Clock, Language and Region
- Open Region
- On Format tab If the value in Format is English(United States) than the settings of this ruler will be inches otherwise cm
- You can select your region format setting and verify in TextMaker
OR
Start > Settings > Time & lanuage > Region > Update Regional Format

Re: How do I change unit of measurement to centimetres on the ruler?
Hello,
Can you give me a hint how to do this in Linux environment (Mint19). I have toolbars (and all other units) in inches, but would like to have mm(cm). I am using English as my system language but everything else (time zone, language, region, system locale..) is set to Croatian (see attached screen grab).
Best regards,

For Linux, SoftMaker Office doesn't pick the settings from Operating system settings, you can simply do this setting by clicking on ribbon command File | Options | Appearance | Measurement. You can choose between Metric and U.S. there.
Thanks
