Why is there a gap

i'm makeing a numbered list, and when i got to 100 there is now a large gap between the number and start of the first word but not in 99 and below. can anyone tell me why its doing that and if there is a way to fix it. its almost like the program is adding in. A near "TAB" sized space between them. I included a picture of the problem
