Hello
I use Textmaker for work. I use it to draft legal documents.
I depend on books of precedents which are extremely time consuming to copy in without SmartText. But Textmaker makes it easy! I set up an entry, type the name and paragraph of the book, and the text jumps in.
Is there a way to export this and use it with another copy of Textmaker? It would be handy for all our PCs, and for a backup. It is a lot of work if I ever need to reinstall otherwise.
Here's hoping!
Exporting smarttext entries
Re: Exporting smarttext entries
Hi, the SmartText entries are stored in Documents\SoftMaker\Settings\tmsmart.dat

Additional hint: These SmartText files are simple text documents which can be altered or amended with any text editor. Extensive changes may be made quicker this way.
