Keymapping: change function of ctrl-pgup and ctrl-pgdn

Post by Valis »

I am still new to Planmaker. And I am continuing to find the interface is too much like WORD than a SPREADSHEET. (Now 365 is doing this. Sad.)

Keymapping: change function of ctrl-pgup and ctrl-pgdn

Can I create a macro do change the these key functions?

My reasons:

ctrl-pgup and ctrl-pgdn: are supposed to move to previous and next tab/worksheet
These key combinations are historical.
These key combinations are unique to spreadsheets
Using these keys as they are used in WORD,... makes no sense.

Ctrl-tab, and Ctrl-shift-tab are cumbersome at best. THey require two hands and looking at the keyboard.

===============
Same silliness with the HOME and END-HOME keys/combination. These is supposed to move the cursor to the top left and the bottom right of the data on the sheet, not to the home/end of the line. This provides no value, as this is supposed to be handled with ctrl-left and ctrl-right arrows.

Making a spreadsheet program emulate text programs misses the whole point of what spreadsheets are used for. Sad office 365 has moved in this direction.

Emulating a text program by removing functionality of the historical spreadsheet interface reducing the effectiveness of spreadsheets.

Are there any ways to change these key combinations?
