I recently made the final move from Office to SoftMaker.
I have some docx documents with an embedded Excel OLE object. I can open such documents and it worked. Nice surprise.
Because change attempts to the Excel object are ignored I opened the embedded OLE object, selected the area I am interested in, copied it, quit Excel, deleted the Excel object, inserted a PlanMaker object with "Insert OLE object frame" and pasted what's on the clipboard.
Now I have two problems:
1. All values got copied but no formulas.
2. When I now double-click the OLE object and make changes to it then after quitting PlanMaker and conforming the update prompt the OLE object in the text document is destorted.
The second problem seems to make an appearance only after I have changed the size of the object or the width of the columns or both.
The problem can be corrected by changing the size of the object slightly or by right-clicking on the boarder of the OLE object: that triggers the context menu *and* fixes the distortion.
I have attached a video demonstrating the problem
Advice is welcome.
