Downloadable software

I'm about to purchase the Office 2018 upgrade as downloadable software. I'm choosing to make my own backup CD-ROM but if this was ever lost, would I be able to access (i.e. download) the software again at a later date from SoftMaker?

The download links work for several years. We don't commit to keep them working forever, but right now even the ones from 15 years ago still work.

I thought I'd mention that SoftMaker's price for a backup CD is extremely "reasonable," especially as (for me) they include shipping to the USA.
