Difficult to explain this one, columns J and K won't hold custom colours for empty cells after saving PMDX.
The cells return to white on re-opening!
Using the Transfer Cell Formatting tool does fix this but I prefer selecting every cell from the Top of the column (by the letter)

Re: Custom Colours Not Holding
I assigned userdefined colors to J13 and J14 in your attached sample file. Then I saved the file and re-opened it. The cell colors are still there. Could you please provide a step-by-step instruction how exactly you assigned the colors and which colors you used? Thank you!

Re: Custom Colours Not Holding
Ok, doing one cell at a time works (change color, save and re-open) but...
1. Select the whole of J and K with CTRL and Left Click at the top of the columns
2. Choose Shading dropdown menu -> Yellow 2 (you guys need to add Hex and RGB values so they can be posted!)
3. Save and re-open
4. Empty cells with no contents or data are white

Re: Custom Colours Not Holding
The issue doesn't occur with a newer, internal revision. So it shouldn't occur anymore with the next service pack. I will send you a hotfix via PN which should solve the issue for you.
