Standard "copy" of a cell, after a "paste", takes about 4-5 seconds.
In a document with 2 sheets with about 117000 cells in total
very slow "copy" operation

Re: very slow "copy" operation in a big document
I have attached it.
To reproduce: go to the 2nd sheet, "test" and try copy a cell then paste. The "copy" op itself takes very long; while the "paste" op is fast.
Inside the 1nd sheet "large", not the "copy" but the "paste" operation takes very long.
EDIT:
I noticed that grouping (outlining) rows/columns affects the behavior in the "large" sheet: when the groups are collapsed, it's as described above; but when uncollapsed - the "copy" op is very slow, but the "paste" is much faster.

Re: very slow "copy" operation
I just tested the same file in the most recent, trial version of Microsoft 365's Excel, and there are no such delays there, and regardless of outlining status.
Re: very slow "copy" operation
We were able to reproduce the issue at our end and have forwarded the details for further investigation.
Re: very slow "copy" operation
Your file contains a very large number of formulas, which is causing the slowness — this behavior is typical under such circumstances.
To avoid this slowness while working, please go to the ribbon command Formula > Update group > Recalculate dropdown, and uncheck "Recalc automatically".
This will make your sheet faster, but calculations will no longer happen in real time. You can press F9 to recalculate manually whenever needed.

Re: very slow "copy" operation
But have you noticed this:
"I noticed that grouping (outlining) rows/columns affects the behavior in the "large" sheet: when the groups are collapsed, it's as described above; but when uncollapsed - the "copy" op is very slow, but the "paste" is much faster."
Also, Excel is not slowed by the same file, with auto-re-calculations.
