[BUG] URI for phones tel: - RFC 3986

Post by ekerist »

I was writing my resume ( curriculum vitae ) and wanted to add my phone number. I was expecting links to follow the STD66 RFC 3986 and if I put something like:

Code: Select all

tel:+33612345678
then, when clicking on the link, it should trigger the phone app/program.

However, when I type my tel:+<phone> in the hyperlink edition box, I got this message:

Code: Select all

File C:\Users\MyUserName\Desktop\CV\tel:+33612345678 not found

HOWEVER

it sill works ONLY for PDF AND ONLY IF you activate relative paths when exporting to PDF:

If you don't activate this option, when you click on the link, you will visit the hard coded link, which do not work when I transfer my exported PDF document on my phone and my Android phone says:

Code: Select all

Error: No such file or directory C:\Users\MyUserName\Desktop\CV\tel:+33612345678
which is a bit a non sense since an Android OS is looking into a Windows OS path.

Is this considered as a bug ? If yes, how do I report it ?
Is it possible for TextMaker team to implement the tel schema ?
Or how can I contribute or make an official request ?
