Scrolling Sidebar Panels using Mouse Wheel

Post by PeterMc »

Scrolling sidebar panels (eg, Document Map, Search, Styles) using the mouse wheel doesn't work for me. I would expect that the panels would scroll when I hover the mouse over them and rotate the wheel, but they don't. Even if I click on the sidebar first (to focus it), mouse wheel scrolling doesn't scroll the sidebar. The mouse wheel always seems to scroll the document itself.

I can scroll sidebar panels by dragging their scrollbars, but that's not as convenient.

I can scroll panels independently using the mouse wheel in other apps and web pages, so it would be nice if TextMaker worked similarly.

I might have managed to address this. In Windows' Settings, I selected 'Scroll inactive windows when hovering over them'. I don't know what the default setting should be. Strangely, no other app seems to require this setting; maybe they activate a window (sidebar) as soon as the mouse enters it.
