In Textmaker NX for Android, I would like to open a file by picking from a list ordered by name or by date.
If I use the "System File dialogs" option, the full name is truncated for long names. "Time analysis of the Light Changes1" becomes "Time analysis..." Thus, I cannot pick the correct file if the names are the same except for different numbers in the last character.
The System File dialogs do allow ordering the list by name or date.
Using the "native Textmaker file dialog" option solves the problem of long names by showing them over 2 lines. But I can't see how to sort the list of files by date. Sometimes I pick files based on names and other times, based on date. It is clumsy to have to switch between the two file dialog options.
My phone is a 6.5 inch Samsung Galaxy running Android 15.
Thank you.

To find your file easily, you can sort the list by name in the system file dialog. This will order the files alphabetically and numerically, so a file named '1.txt' will appear before '10.txt'.
Please note that this dialog is a standard Android system component, so its functionality and design are not controlled by our app, and unfortunately, we can't do anything here.

Thank you. That would work with the example I gave.
However, I simplified the example for clarity purposes. The solution won't work as well for a more complex situation. For example, one file is named "Big House on Lake01" and the other is named "Big House on Mountain01," and the truncation is (for illustration purposes only) "Big House on..."
I was hoping there is some undocumented easy solution to sort the App's native file list. Or maybe there is a way to have the System File list show the file name using two lines.
