Licensing question

Post by Woody44 »

I am a widower. I live alone. For a variety of reasons, even though I am alone in my household I currently have three Windows desktop computers, four Windows laptop computers, and one Microsoft Surface tablet -- all running Windows 10.

Some time ago I purchased SoftMaker Office 2021 Professional. I have purchased the upgrade to SoftMaker Office 2024 Professional. This gives me licenses for five machines ... but I have eight. I have been dealing with this by installing FreeOffice on the least used and least "mission critical" of the machines. However, although in general FreeOffice is a superlative office suite for the price, I have become aware that there is at least one limitation in the FreeOffice version of TextMaker that is a problem: footnotes. I'm an author. Most of what I write is non-fiction, and I need footnotes.

So I need to be able to get the paid version of SoftMaker Office on all eight machines. Although Office 2024 was purchased as an update/upgrade from Office 2021, there is a separate activation key for Softmaker Office 2024. Can I install SoftMaker Office 2021 on the three least-used computers without violating my license?

Thank you for posting your query. As you have already upgraded your SoftMaker Office 2021 to SoftMaker Office 2024, your SoftMaker Office 2021 license is not valid.

Please contact our sales team at sales[at]softmaker.com, and they will be able to give you the best solution and offer.
