Bug report - please fix - re: paste unformatted

Post by robert006 »

Hi,
This problem was reported in a previous post re: copying and pasting as unformatted text into a new sheet, using the attached file.

Please open the attached file and try these steps:
1 select all of the data
2 Edit>Copy
3 open a new sheet
4 Edit>Paste Special>Paste as: Unformatted text, uncheck All under Paste formatting (update - it doesn't matter if it is unchecked or not)
5 review numbers in column F, and note that cell F7 pasted as 32970 and not 329.70, cell F11 pasted as 17220 and not 172.20 etc.

In this situation, the numbers are pasted without their decimals, resulting in incorrect results.
I am using Planmaker 2024 rev S1218.0824
Thanks

Using your sample file, I followed your instructions to copy the data, open a new sheet, and paste>special>unformatted text into the new sheet. Whether I left all options checked or I unchecked all options, the data pasted with the decimal values correct.

PlanMaker 2024, release S1222.1129, 64-bit, Windows 10.

Please update your SoftMaker Office, current revision is S1224.0308 and then check again.

Thank you very much! The paste now works for me.
My software is offline, so if this issue was addressed earlier, my apologies.
I prefer to use Planmaker over others for its file compatibility, speed and ease of use.
Thanks again for your help!

Interesting. When I check for updates, my software tells me that "No updates have been found for SoftMaker Office," yet I'm running rev S1222.1129.
