What's the difference between Office NX and 2024?

Post by gabriel2424 »

I recently upgraded my Windows 11 laptop to Fedora, so I'm looking for MS Office alternatives since I find the preinstalled LibreOffice suite ugly looking in my opionion. I found out about SoftMaker's Office and it seems like a good alternative, but I'm really confused: what's the difference between Office NX and Office 2024 versions? Do they both have MS Office's formats native compatibility as advertised?
Thank you! :)

SoftMaker Office NX is the subscription version (per month/per year), while SoftMaker Office 2024 is a perpetual license (one-time purchase).
They provide the same MS Office compatability, but NX Universal has some additional features - such as DeepL translation and ChatGPT included - and will be always updated with the latest features.
