Formula Bug

Post by bruceg »

If a speadsheet is created in a different product which allows the formula with the arguments reversed eg =sum(A3:A2) then PlanMaker returns 0 for this formula when the spreadsheet is opened.
When entering formulas in PlanMaker and most other applications they swop the order but I have some sheets where the ordering in the wrong way.
There is no error displayed so the spreadsheet just calculates incorrectly.
Recreate (using openoffice bug)
- create a blank openopensheet
- put 1 to 5 into A1-A5
- create a formula in B1 =sum(A1:A$1)
- cat and paste to B2-B5
Note: OpenOffice also returns 0 for these incorrect formulas
