I was hoping that this issue would go away as I have moved from a (very) old Samsung s7 to a s24-Ultra-512. Sadly, it hasn't [TextMaker persists in closing the current document].
(My current project involves using an (old) default template, and I save the accumulating file in .txt format (as this strips off any text formatting).
Every (say) few minutes, to every hour or so: I find that the single open document (where I have been pasting 'snips' from various websites) has closed and I am presented with a new document (and that is NOT even a default document!)!

Q1:
How do I best go about fixing this issue?
Q2:
If I started a new template, can I embed/save the .TXT format too [it is rather tedious having to repeatedly answer the helpful cautions prevoked by using .TXT].
Q3:
I see that another contributor has requested an obvious SAVE icon to be on the main page at all times. I agree that this is really needed. I would also like to see the three icons for Cut/Copy/Paste always present too. Are we able to choose what icons we have showing on the standard single line? Or can we have a 'User' button to display a 'User-chosen second line' of icons?
Thanks

Re: TextMaker persists in closing the current document
Why did you post a question about TextMaker for an Android device in the discussion area for Windows, when you posted the same question in the correct place a day earlier?
Re: TextMaker persists in closing the current document
Thank you for sharing your issue. As it was posted in the wrong forum, I have moved it to the correct one and removed the duplicate post.
It appears there may be an issue with your system settings related to the maximum background process limit or background activity monitoring. This could be causing TextMaker to terminate when you switch to other applications and restart when you return to it.
Please note that the default file format is not dependent on templates; however, you can configure it in the settings. Unfortunately, the TXT format option is not available there.
Yes, you can customize the ribbon or quick access bar to add commands as desired. For detailed instructions, please refer to the user manual.

Re: TextMaker persists in closing the current document
Thanks SuperTech for helping out.
And yes, I have suspected an association with leaving then returning to the .txt document (it never closes whilst I am editing in TextMaker).
I have started a new template but, after many hours of use and many new documents, the errant behaviour persists.
So that leaves me puzzling over what Andoid setting needs adjusting.
Weird, since it is a new phone, however I did use the facility to move settings, data, and apps across from the old s7.
Thanks again.
