Loop movie not working

I am trying to have an embedded mp4 movie play automatically and loop continuously.
I selected the loop option under the Media object menu, but apparently it has no effect: when I go to presentation mode, the movie plays once and then stops. I can have the movie play again only if I click on it with my mouse.
How do I get the movie to loop?
