You cannot create tables of contents in TextMaker 2024

Post by naubates »

Hi.
I have just installed the 2024 versión of freeoffice.
And in the 2024 version of TextMaker, the creation of tables of contents has disappeared from the "References: Tables of Contents" menu. Both in windows and linux versions :?

2021 https://1drv.ms/i/s!AmCNIUDnqCD5gac9ZDU ... g?e=JIIXrc
2024 https://1drv.ms/i/s!AmCNIUDnqCD5gac-oZe ... A?e=28N1LZ

Sorry for my English

This link does not take us to a list of features, it takes us to the FreeOffice 2024 product overview page. The feature comparison page (to which you have not provided a link) only compares FreeOffice 2024 to SoftMaker Office 2024, it does not compare FreeOffice 2021 to FreeOffice 2024. We have been asking for a comparison between FreeOffice 2021 and FreeOffice 2024, and multiple requests for this have been ignored.

We now know that at least one important feature in FreeOffice 2021 has been removed from FreeOffice 2024. And I know of one important (to me) feature that was in FreeOffice 2018 that was removed in FreeOffice 2021. So it appears that each new version of FreeOffice removes features. That's not much of an incentive to switch to the new version. If you don't want to admit what features you have removed, how about at least providing a list of NEW features in FreeOffice 2024?

I have long been a cheerleader for FreeOffice. However, if I am going to recommend to friends that they switch from FreeOffice 2021 to FreeOffice 2024, I'll need to be able to tell them what they will be gaining by making the switch. If there are no new useful features -- there's no reason to make the switch.
