Some words are marked in red. Yet they are in file /usr/share/hunspell/fr_FR.dic.
Maybe TextMaker retrieves its validation list from another location? In any case it's wrong.
How can the words be recognised correctly and not marked?
Are there different locations for the hunspell dictionaries and is an older version used?
Hunspell entries for some words:
consensuel/F+() po:adj
complexification/S.() po:nom is:fem
complexifier/a0p+() po:v1__t_q_zz
captation/S.() po:nom is:fem
euro/S.() po:nom is:mas

French words marked in red as errors
Re: French words marked in red as errors
That is because, by default, Softmaker uses it's own dictionaries and not Hunspell. SM's dictionaries are a bit lacking and dated, at least the Spanish one is. You could configure TM to use hunspell instead of their built-in dictionaries.
Go to: Settings => Language => Manage dictionaries. There you can set Hunspell as the default for whatever languages you desire.

Perfect!
I had to use Tools > Options > Language > Manage dictionaries in TextMaker
but I'm now using the seemingly much better Hunspell dictionary. ¡Muchas gracias!
I have no idea how to make inserted images visible in this forum.

Re: French words marked in red as errors
Subsidiary question:
Is a new Hunspell dictionary copied to a SoftMaker location or are the ones already in /usr/share/hunspell used?

Re: French words marked in red as errors
Also, I see in /usr/share/hunspell that dictionaries like es_MX.dic or fr_CH.dic all link to the same dic file (respectively es_ES.dic and fr.dic) while the en_*.dic and pt_*.dic files each have their own dictionary.
Any information about French and Spanish dictionaries being unique?

Re: French words marked in red as errors
We use our own Hunspell dictionaries. What happens in /usr/share/hunspell is irrelevant to SoftMaker Office.

Thank you. So I have 2 sets of dictionaries on my computer then. Not that it matters much. Just to know.
