Date Changes between Formula Line and Cell

Post by mtbe »

I enter the date May 9, 2024 as "9/5/2024" in the Cell F2, but it puts the month first in the cell. It shows correctly in the formula.

I've made sure the cell format is DD/MM/YYYY, but it still changes the M and D in the cell.

How do I change this? I need to import this spreadsheet into a database that is strict DD/MM/YYY format.

File is attached to show the difference between formula line and cell F2

Thank you for the post, but the input is always taken from the system settings and the cell format is for the output of the data only.

So, it seems your system settings is of MM/DD/YYYY and your formula line is showing “09/05/2024” (which is Sep 5,2024) and in the cell it's as per set format which is “05/09/2024” (which is May 9, 2024).
