Controlling Textmaker styles from Basicmaker

I use styles exclusively in TextMaker. Nothing is ever formatted "manually", I will always create or use an existing style.

I would like to user BasicMaker to control the formatting of my documents but I can't see any objects or collections available to work with styles just font and shading objects.

To be clear I'm not that bothered with creating or amending styles through BasicMaker but the ability to apply styles to parts of the document and inspect what style is in use would be very useful.

The other options is that I've missed something really simple and that I can already do it
