"This file format is not supported" error in Presentations while opening new .pptx file

I am getting an error: "This file format is not supported" in Presentations when I try to right-click create a new "Microsoft PowerPoint Presentation" and then try to open the new .pptx file with Presentations. After the clicking on "Ok" in the error dialogue box I am able to see only one tab which is "File" having 3 options under it: "New", "Open" and "Exit".

This is not a big error but I think it is better to report it.

Note that Presentations is the default app for .ppt and .pptx files.

I am able to:-
1. Open existing .ppt and .pptx files without any error.
2. Right-click create a new "Presentations document" and then try to open the .prdx file with Presentations without any error.
3. Save a .prdx file to a .pptx file and then open the .pptx file with Presentations without any error.
