files change position when modified

Hello,
i've just started using your software , it's awesome to have something like this for free , very much appreciated
i just found something that really annoys me :
every time i use a file and modify it and save , it gets arranged under the left column of files i have on the desktop , i have the sorting off because i use the desktop to put every group of files in different position , but your files keep changing their positions when used ...
how to fix this please ?

That happens because of the backup feature that rewrites the previous file as BAK before saving the new one.
You can disable it by going to File | Options | Files | Backup and selecting the option "No backup", but then you'll have no backup.
TextMaker 2024 or NX don't have this issue because they save files differently.
