Activation code doesn't work

Hi!

The software installed with no issues. It was installed on my user directory. It launches, but when I enter the key supplied in the download email, I get a message saying there was an internal error and to try again or, in case it persists, to contact the support team.

My system is the following:

Maybe it matters That I have Softmaker Office 2021 permanently activated, installed system-wide. May this be the issue and do I have to uninstall it?

Same problem here : persistent error message after entering product key :

An internal error (-105) occurred. Please try again later.

I'm also on Manjaro : could it be specific for Arch-based distros?

The problem persists. I even tried re-downloading and reinstalling.

Yes, I'm afraid that the problem is still here.

In a parallel thread people confirm successful installation on Endeavour OS, also Arch-based. So, I wonder, is it KDE-specific, or Manjaro-specific?

I just tried it on my desktop; same system but logged in LxQt+Openbox: same problem!

Installing system-wide "solves" the issue. I was able to unlock the software.

With the generic package "softmaker-office-nx-1107-amd64.tgz" I have the same problem.
With the DEB package it works fine.

Indeed, re-installing system-wide allows to launch Office.

Wish I could get that far.

I am using Ubuntu on an older Surface pro and so need to install a deb64 version. I have tried to install as Deb as per the instructions. However, I am thinking because it is downloading to the download-folder I am not getting the syntax right.

Any one able to send me what I should be doing? If I can get this to work, it will make my old Surface Pro much more useful, including Presenter.

I'm not on deb-based system now, so, I cannot check it myself. But if you open downloaded .deb package with GUI program, like GDebi (or similar), it should be installed without any syntax involved?

I just checked it on KDE Neon : downloading .deb package, and installing via Discover works fine.

Wish I could get that far.

The issue reported has been fixed and the fix will be delivered with the next update rev.1108.

I confirm the issue is fixed. Installed the new build as regular user, on a different machine, and activated it using the same activation code which was supplied for the previous build.
