This File Format is Not Supported

I have been using Freeoffice PlanMaker 2021 since late last year. This week I have 8 files which will not open anymore when using PlanMaker program. I get the following error message "This file format is not supported". I have other PlanMaker files that do open. One of the eight files contains critical data, and I must get it to open. I have read forum postings related to this problem under SoftMaker Office 2018 for Windows, but I still cannot resolve my issue. Does anyone have any suggestions?

What file format were the files saved in? The default SoftMaker format, or Excel .xlsx format?
