Documents freeze when opening

Newly created and existing documents freeze and display a completely blank document when opening the first time. I have to force close the document and reopen it. This occurs every time I open a document. I'm running a laptop with Windows 10. I don't have any similar errors with other programs.

Thanks for posting your problem. Please check a few things:

1. Please update your SoftMaker Office to the latest revision.

2. If your antivirus/security software blocking the app.

3. Your Windows and display driver are updated or not.

I'm running the 2018 Anniversary edition and it shows no updates are available. I'm thinking about uninstalling and starting fresh with the 2021 edition but I would have to pay for that, of course. I could try the free trial for 30 days to see how it works.

My security software shows that no apps have been blocked.

My drivers are up to date.

I tried opening the program from the Start menu as Administrator and it still hung on the first try.

Any other thoughts before I try a completely new install?

You can install SoftMaker Office 2021 for trial use without uninstallation of SoftMaker Office 2018.
