Textmaker won't open files

If I go into FileExplorer and drill down to a doc, docx or dot file and double click it, or right click->Open, TextMaker is launched but the file is not opened and I get the hourglass. If I go to File->Open then drill down to the file it opens just fine.

Same thing happens with PlanMaker.

I'm running Windows 11. Any idea what is causing this and how to fix it? (Yes I rebooted)

We're working on a fix to that issue introduced by an update by Windows 11.
