Scroll is lagging / really slow

Post by tomboudiboudi »

Hi!
Fairly new user of freeoffice, I'm really enjoying this freeware despite one (annoying) issue :
In every textmaker document, the display lags waaay too much when scrolling downs/up. Here is a screenshot to help you understand what I'm talking about:
I already tried to disable/enable OpenGL but I didn't notice any difference...

Does it happen with all files or just in large ones?
Could you please send us the file?

It happens in any file, no matter the size. Maybe it's due to a system incompatibility.
I switched to Only Office in the meantime, thanks anyway !

Hello, continuing the thread. I’m a new customer who is trying to make the transition for WordPerfect (it doesn’t want to support latest build of win 11). I really like the product but I am experiencing scroll issues with complex documents. Simple docs are fine but once I introduce graphics, text boxes and table it becomes very difficult to use.

I’ve only seen this with imported docx but I haven’t built a complex doc from scratch yet so I don’t know If that will behave the same way.

I’m happy to provide an example or any other info you may need.

Thanks
RobW

Yes, please share such a problematic document. If it's private, you can send it to forum[at]softmaker.com with link of this post.

Please also share a screen recording and sminfo.txt file which you can generate by click on '?' (right top corner) > About > Write system information.
