Bullet Point issues

Post by grizzlyak »

I'm trying to make a simple numbered list:

Code: Select all

I.
 A.
  1.
   a)...
However, I get nothing but the first heading, no matter how many times I indent. I've searched the Internet and didn't find anything; I've also tried editing the numbered list format, and nothing works. Example:

Code: Select all

I. Title 1
II. Title 2
III. Sub-title (still continuing from main heading)
IV. Paragraph under sub-title (still looks like main heading continues)
V. Title 3
It should be:

Code: Select all

I. Title 1
II. Title 2
  A. Sub-title
   1. Paragraph
III. Title 3
Not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Hi, have you looked into format numbering? Its as per screenshot below:

Then go to numbered lists and add a sample one that suits your needs. Then you can edit it to see how its structured and defined. You need enough levels of the list defined, along with style and indent.

It work as expected after indenting using TAB.

Thank you, that (kind of) worked. It messes with things when I have to do multiple edits.

Also, why should that be the exception and not the rule? Normally, I want a hierarchical bullet/numbered set rather than just a flat one. It's one of the (very) few things that I have an issue with in TextMaker. I've come on a couple others, but this one has been the most PIA to date.

Thanks for your post. As per your first post, your task is achievable with numbered list and not with simple numbering. Numbered list is next to simple numbering, as shown in the below screenshot. Please use it.
