Megafont NOW question
Megafont NOW question
Does anyone know which font (or fonts) in the Megafont NOW collection are closest to Crimson?
Re: Megafont NOW question
Which font named "Crimson“ are you talking about? If it is Crimson by Sebastian Kosch: This is a free font and downloadable here. No need to search for a replacement font.
Re: Megafont NOW question
That is the font. I'm not clear from what they offer as license information if it's permissible to use it for commercial applications (such as typesetting books that will be printed and sold). I have the Megafont NOW collection, whose fonts are allowed to be used in that way, so I would prefer to use the SoftMaker font if there is an equivalent.
Re: Megafont NOW question
Crimson is published under the SIL Open Font License 1.1, which explicitly allows use for commercial purposes (see here). But if you prefer a font from Megafont, I recommend one of the Garamond variations there.
