Keep cursor centered vertically on the screen?

Post by Sir Lauren »

I'm sorry to bother the collective "you", but is there a way to keep the cursor vertically centered on the screen in TM2018? Basically, I'd like to have the page scroll up or down "behind" the cursor (ie. cursor stays in the center of the screen) when I hit 'Enter' or use the Arrow keys. While searching the internet, I found someone reference a 'scrolloff' (scroll offset) command, but I have no idea how to engage such a command, IF it's even possible in TM2018.

If someone knows how I can do this, I would greatly appreciate the help. I'm proofreading a long text and it would be so much more convenient to have the cursor stay centered vs having to constantly readjust the page.
And I hate to ask, but could you be very detailed in how to accomplish it, if it's possible? I'd rather you treat me like a child and lead me step-by-step through it than me having to pester you again later for clarification/more help.

Thank you in advance for any insight or guidance!
Cheers,
Sir Lauren

Currently, this feature is not available in TextMaker 2018.

Oh, well. It's a bummer, but at least I now know.
