Markup from a native Word doc not appearing

Hi, I'm new to this software so perhaps I'm missing something basic, but I was sent a marked up contract (changes were tracked) as a native Word document but when I look at it in TextMaker, there is no way to view those changes. Should I see them? Or is this not a supported feature? I am using the latest version of TextMaker.

Please check if in the "Review" ribbon, group “Changes", "Track changes" and "Show" are selected.

Yes, those options are selected but nothing changes in the doc. In other words, there are still no changes shown. I know that the original doc was made in Word 2016 if that helps. Thanks.
