Images floating when opening libre office created docs in Text Maker

Hi,

I have been using open office and the libre office for a few years and decided to try softmaker as it has the ribbon.
Sadly though all the docs which have images embedded in them, open with all the images floating and obscuring text. Generally they are all over the place and is a mess.

I did a test new office doc in libre office this is the sequence and saved file as type ODT

1) Created a 2x2 table
2) insert text in first box
3) Menu > insert image below text in the box using default optimal for image place as apposed to inline wrap etc
4) in second box just type in text
5) Copy paste image

Then saved it
Opened it in Textmaker and the images are floating and obscuring text see screen shot

If I then in Text maker to fix it, I have to manually edit each image by

1) Select image ctrl C "cut"
2) Find the location it should be in line with the text (this could be anywhere on the page)
3) ctrl v "paste"

Opening the now edited file in any other word type app is still ok.

Currently, there is no update. Whenever I will get any news about this problem, I will update here on this forum.

I think this has to do with the fact that LibreOffice and TextMaker both support different versions of the standard. LibreOffice uses by default 1.3 while TM only supports 1.0. I do not know exactly what changes happened between 1.0 and 1.3 of this standard but may impact the way images are handled.

Please use Line wrapping for the object's wrapping mode as a workaround.

Ok that will work. Problem is I have a lot of documents to clean up and is very time consuming.
