Table Banding

I use banding in my TextMaker table. It was a long, tedious table of information, so imagine my frustration when I discovered that much of the table became uneditable.

I use banding across the rows for better visibility. Let's say I'm using Blue. Lighter Blue and Darker Blue banding. Items contained in the Darker Blue are no longer editable. I can't select them, I can't make any changes.

Turns out, it was the banding that did this. Once I unticked the banding box, all of the table was editable.

Was it supposed to be this way, or is this just a quirk? Not a big deal, just curious, and would like to let others know of this hiccup and not freak if it happens to them.

Hope this is a unique post; I did a few searches and found nothing. I seem to have a Search Deficit when it comes to forums.
