Previously I had FreeOffice 2018, in a folder named SoftMaker FreeOffice 2018 inside my Applications folder. When I downloaded and installed FreeOffice 2021 I found a new folder named SoftMaker FreeOffice 2021 in my Applications Folder. But it only contained two applications: Presentations Free 2021 and TextMaker Free 2021. But in my (old) SoftMaker FreeOffice 2018 folder the application (still) named PlanMaker Free 2018 had the new icon. And when I started it, About… showed that it is FreeOffice PlanMaker 2021 (rev F1036.1015) 64bit, with today's date in the Finder Date Modified field.
Can I safely move it to the SoftMaker FreeOffice 2021, rename it PlanMaker Free 2021, and delete the old folder? Or will that lead to problems?
I'm running under macOS Big Sur Version 11.6 on a 15-inch MacBook Pro.
Installing FreeOffice 2021
Re: Installing FreeOffice 2021
You can uninstall FreeOffice 2018 and FreeOffice 2021 completely and then install FreeOffice 2021.
Re: Installing FreeOffice 2021
Thanks for the suggestion. I did what I originally thought of doing: move the program file to the SoftMaker FreeOffice 2021 folder and rename it PlanMaker Free 2021, and delete the old folder. Everything seems to work OK.
