Accented characters with long keypress not working?

Hi,

We've purchased Softmaker Office 2021, using it on a Mac and Linux machine. When typing text on a Mac, normally one can use long keypress to easily input national/accentuated characters. For example, long-press "e" and a popup shows up, where I can find all French variations of "e" - very useful for my daily work.

Unfortunately this doesn't work when in TextMaker 2021. All I get is a repeated sequence of "eeeeee".

Is there any way to make TextMaker work like other Mac applications in this matter?
