copy and paste very strange

Hello I managed to convert just one line of text to all uppercase letters.

But when I copied the text from the page and paste it into a mail program, the line I converted to uppercase all went back to how I typed it with the only letter in uppercase was the first letter of the line.

Now I am not sure how I converted the line of text to uppercase, maybe I am just having a bad dream. from getting stressed out useing some other free word processer
