Weird folder containing all folders and files on my Desktop

A weird folder has appeared on my Windows 10 Desktop containing (duplicating?) all folders and files on my Desktop. If I delete a folder or file within this weird folder, the same folder and file also disappears from my Desktop. So should I delete this weird folder by accident, the whole Desktop with all its folders and files will also be deleted. Any idea how I can remove this weird folder without losing all my folders & files?

It's an icon on the desktop? If you right click, a menu should piop up. The last item at the bottom is "Properties." If you look at the properties, it should tell you what the shortcut is pointing to. What does it say?
