I am running the 64 bit portable version build 1024.Tried to update to the latest build (1030) but noticed the download says the 32 bit version was being downloaded. Obviously I don't want that, so I terminated the download. Tried again and got the same message.
Besides relying on a full install and make another portable copy, how do I update what I already have?
Thank you.
Jon

Re: Incorrect update
The SoftMaker updater tool can run in two modes:
1. In a regular installation, it reads from the registry which versions of SoftMaker Office are installed. It can update multiple installs, including a 32-bit version you might have installed previously and forgotten about.
2. In a USB stick installation, it reads the updater.ini file in the SoftMaker program folder on the stick to find out which versions can potentially be updated. This should usually be just the one version on the stick.
In the first step:
1. Please determine if you have the file "portable.txt" in the SoftMaker program folder on the stick.
2. Ensure that you are running SoftMakerUpdaterTool from the stick and not from the local install.
3. Post the contents of your updater.ini file here.

Re: Incorrect update
- portable.txt is in the proper location
- I confirm that the update is being run through the portable version. Besides the portable version, there are no other installs on the computer.
- Here is the contents of the updater.ini file

Re: Incorrect update
Martin, thank you for the hint. I was able to resolve this by deleting all lines beginning with "DOWNL1" This allowed me to download and update to the latest 64 bit build.
Thank you for pointing me in the right direction.
