Automatic Language Detection

Post by entelechie »

Hello.
I am wondering if there is a way to have "automatic language detection" in Textmaker.
I am a polyglot researcher and writer. My documents usually use 4 to 5 languages. When I used Word, I never had to think about it: as soon as I wrote something in another language, Word simply detected it automatically. It has been extremely fastidious for me, and I'm sure for all who work in more than one language, to highlight paragraphs and change the language or change it manually in whichever way. I think this is a very very very essential feature for a word processor.
Any help would be welcome.
Thank you!

Currently, we don't have this feature but thanks for your suggestion. I have forwarded this feature request to our development team.

I have installed FreeOffice as well as the Trial version of Office NX.
It's 4 years since the original post, albeit, I find that language detection is still missing... Is that true or am I missing some setting?
