Fill with picture wrong scaling

I created a rectangle with the same aspect ratio as a picture. Then I filled the object with that picture but what I got was only a portion of the picture. The picture was bigger than the rectangle. I tried resizing the picture in the properties dialog box but it's too tedious. Is there a setting that will automatically scale the picture to fill the object so that the whole picture fits inside the object?

If you want a rectangle around the picture, you can simply insert the picture and put lines and 3D around it from picture properties dialog box. We have many styles and customization there.
